KCB Rugby delivered a dominant performance on Saturday, February 8, 2025, thrashing Catholic Monks 86-7 in an Enterprise Cup quarterfinal clash at the KCB Sports Club. The emphatic victory secured their place in the semifinals, where they will face defending champions Kabras RFC.
KCB’s Early Dominance
The bankers wasted no time asserting their authority, with Michael Wanjala opening the scoring in the fourth minute. Austine Sikutwa converted, handing the hosts an early 7-0 lead. Captain Jacob Ojee extended the advantage three minutes later with another try, though the conversion attempt was unsuccessful.
Catholic Monks briefly fought back when Philip Walukana powered over for a try, which Victor Reins converted, reducing the deficit to 12-7. However, KCB responded almost immediately as Fidel Maina crossed the line, with Sikutwa adding the extras to make it 19-7.
KCB’s relentless attack continued, with young sensation Andycole Omolo and Ojee adding unconverted tries. Omolo struck again before halftime, giving the hosts a commanding 34-7 lead at the break.
Second-Half Onslaught
