Kenya Morans head coach Cliff Owuor has announced the final 12-man squad for the decisive round of the 2025 FIBA AfroBasket qualifiers, set to take place in Tripoli, Libya, from February 21-23.

The team sees three changes from last year’s roster, highlighted by the return of star forward Tylor Ongwae. Ongwae, who retired from international duty after the 2021 AfroBasket, has made a stunning comeback, marking his first national appearance since January 2022.

Joining him is center Bush Wamukota, known for his defensive prowess. Wamukota last played for the Morans during the 2021 FIBA AfroCan and brings experience with his strong rebounding and playmaking stats. Making his debut is KPAs Salim Kisilu, adding fresh energy to the team.

However, the squad will miss Faheem Juma, Ariel Ortega, and Ariel Okal, the latter excused on compassionate grounds.

Currently third in Group E, Kenya will face Tunisia on Friday, Angola on Saturday, and Guinea on Sunday.

Kenya Morans Final Squad
Derrick Ogechi, Salim Kisilu, Joel Awich, Blacio Owili, Fidel Okoth, Bramwel Mwombe, Eugene Adera, Tylor Ongwae, Victor Bosire, Bush Wamukota, Albert Odero, Griffin Ligare.
