Ruto Fires Back at Critics: “I’m No Madman, Just Watch Me Deliver”
President Ruto has vowed to prove his critics wrong by fulfilling his promises and delivering development. He dismissed public chants and online mockery, saying he's focused on serving Kenyans. Ruto also pledged reforms in education, healthcare, and agriculture to revive the economy.
President William Ruto has dismissed critics who have ridiculed his promises, saying he is determined to prove them wrong through action, not words. Speaking during a church service in Elgeyo Marakwet, the President said he will “embarrass” his doubters by delivering on his development agenda.
Ruto hit out at those chanting “uongo” during his public speeches, insisting their mockery wont derail his government’s plans. “I know what I’m doing. I’m not a mad man. We will fulfil every commitment we have made,” he told the congregation, adding that he’s fully aware of the responsibility Kenyans have placed on his shoulders.
He emphasized plans to improve education from junior to university levels and pledged to revamp agriculture and healthcare, particularly through the implementation of the Social Health Authority (SHA) programme, which has sparked debate nationwide.
His remarks come amid growing public criticism and chants of “Ruto must go.” During a separate event in Siaya County, the President brushed off the slogans, calling them recycled political rhetoric. “We’ve heard Moi must go and others before. This is nothing new,” Ruto said, assuring Kenyans he is focused on delivering results, not engaging in political theatrics.
